Moderators- If this is against the rules, my apologies.

In my business I manufacture and distribute cabin air filters as one of my product lines that I sell to large national distributors and retailers. And it bugs me that of the 4 street cars in my driveway, my Denali is the only one that doesn't have a cabin air filter. Heck even the kid's 2002 VW Passat has one. The GF's Camry uses my part number that I sell a several thousand a month of, and the MDX uses my most popular cabin air filter on Amazon. But not the Yukon.

I know that there have been people who have made custom retrofit kits before, and GM made one too but it was expensive. What made me think of this was how filthy the filter was in the Passat when I changed it this past weekend after just 2 years of being in there. I change the MDX every year and even that's somewhat dirty when I change it. I can't imagine how much crud is getting into the Denali cabin with no filter.

So I've asked my engineers to see what it would take to make a retrofit kit that I could price under $40 with a carbon filter and new filter door. I'm going to have them mock something up for my Denali, then see what volume my plastic moulder would need to make the door.

Does this make sense or am I just thinking there's a volume interest in a well designed yet inexpensive retrofit kit?

This isn't a solicitation to sell anything, I'm just hoping for some feedback. And even if I had a product designed my business is purely as a manufacturing and distribution company so I can't sell retail B2C anyway. Hope this isn't breaking any forum rules.
