I hear you on the tint. How dark was yours? I have always been fine with 35% tint on my front, but when i changed my tahoe front windows to 20% tint, i was pulled over 2 times in a 2-3 month range. Lucky for me, a local CHP wrote the ticket off without me taking the tint off, and i paid the $25 correction fee. However after this last time, after being pulled over for the windows and tailights again, i decided to just take the tint off and remove the tails. For now i'm going to just leave it, since i have black interior and the rest of the windows are pretty much 5%, the front's kinda look tinted until your upclose. I'll prob put 35% tint on if i decide to do it again.

Yeah... wish Califonia wasn't so strict on these "Car Laws". That's how they make their $$$$.

Just about every law enforcement agency nationwide is stepping up enforcement on any and all traffic laws. It is indeed about revenue.

35% on front windows is allowed in Virginia with a medical waiver. And as you can see in my signature image below, it's pretty dark. Face it folks, 20% is too dark to safety drive at night.

I understand that Sherrif... i have many friends in Law Enforcement and even i roll my windows down when i cant really see at a turn, for saftey reasons...... Many Law Enforcements in my town enjoy seeing rides like mine and dont mind, but for some weird reason, when i am not in my town... i get picked on.

I lived in CA for 8 years. Can you get a prescription for tinting? I never tried since I never got pulled over for the tint.

You used to be able to get medical waivers for front tint in cali, but they no longer allow it. My dad is a doctor and we used to do it on our cars. I guess now you have to have a removable shade that you stick to the window and remove.

My current ticket that i need to have cleared is like $398 for rear tint tailights and front windows if i fail to correct it, or $50 if i correct. I ripped that tint off the next day!
