Also if it helps you want on your low pressure side about 30-40psi and high side reading 230-250 even up to 300psi on some models. I used an actual machine last week when i replace my compressor, dryer, orfice and they tech that was helping me told me thats how you know if you got a good reading on your ac. Now wether or not this helps, but going by accurate readings thats how it should be done if you have access to an ac machine. Also, im seeing people talking about 4lbs of freon, but mine only held 2lbs 1oz and the dryer sticker read 2lbs 4oz, but mine is a 95 with pancake compressor so it may be different on the vortecs.

After replacing all those parts, I'd expect my nipples to be able to cut glass when I got out of the truck on a 100+ degree day! :Big Laugh:

Wow...I'd replace the whole tahoe if I got her in the passenger seat!

I wouldnt be complaing if she was in my front seat. LMAO

Anyway just got into work, the temp is off by about 7 degrees. ( and its cool out) Every morning the meat temp guage was pegged in the green around 38 degrees. ( I think it's off by about 6-7 degrees) But now its around 45 on my guage. So all in all its blowing 52 while im moving, goes rite up as soon as I hit a red lite. Un-effen belieable!

So what did the shop say when you picked it up? Did they say it was working good?

Now they recognize there are issues. They think it is two problems, one the amount of freon. The hoses were bordline warm/coo. Second they feel its a blend door. When I picked it up monday nite it was much better. They added freon and all hell broke loose. They (like me) cannot find how much it really holds. Differant sources are listing differant amounts.....

The truck is there now......AGAIN!

Ahem...blend doors....I do believe I mentioned that many, many posts ago before you even started replacing parts ;)

But yeah, if your accumulator and lines are getting cold, then it's down to your blend doors not working, or I think there's a little valve that controls whether the heater core is activated or not. Maybe the valve is stuck and your air is first being heated, then cooled? Not sure what order or how the heater core/ac core is configured on that vehicle.

You'll have to tear out some of the ducting under the dash and trace the air flow and see what's going on.

Yes you did, I thought the blend door was the door that's behind the blower motor. Guess I had that confused. As far as the parts go this started cause I had a leak then everything was corroded together. But I get the point. :(

He is doing something now, will know later on what the story is.....

Honestly I don't know how many blend doors there are on that vehicle, I would assume there's a few to redirect air all over the place and intake from outside or inside. I just happen to think that if by chance the air would first be passing over the heater core, then the ac coil, and if your heater core is filled with hot coolant due to a stuck valve, then you are going to be trying to cool super heated air, which would be difficult.

Hope they find the problem!
