The recirculate door is the one by the blower motor on the bottom left, you can stick your fingers through the grate and feel it open and close.

I know because I had an actuator go bad :emotions122: (plastic gear broke in half, fixed myself :) )

Honestly I don't know how many blend doors there are on that vehicle, I would assume there's a few to redirect air all over the place and intake from outside or inside. I just happen to think that if by chance the air would first be passing over the heater core, then the ac coil, and if your heater core is filled with hot coolant due to a stuck valve, then you are going to be trying to cool super heated air, which would be difficult.

Hope they find the problem!

Well when I got home last nite I was well done! This is getting out of control to say the least. I had low 10 second mustang stree/race cars that never had as many issues as this truck!

On these years trucks when the a/c is on and you press the recirc button is it supposed to stay lit? Mine does unless the a/c is off then if you press it the lite will go out. Curious if that means anything....

Mine will stay lit as long as the air is on the front vents. Otherwise it will go off.

So if you get this problem fixed are you going to change your screen name to Stresstncold?

The only true way to know if your recirc is working is to give your truck a courtesy reach around :supergay: and feel up the recirc door. If you can stick your fingers through the grate it is working, if the door is against the grate, it is fresh air.

I will have to check that when I get my truck back. So to be clear if I put the air to blow on the floor the light should go off?

If I get this fixxed I will change me to name to whatever you want. How about that! LOL

So I have to take the blower motor out and when I turn recirc off I should see a grate?

With my 03 z71, if I have the vent on, and push the recirc button, it will stay on. If I turn the dial to the floor vents, the recirc light will go off.

You dont need to do anything. Just go to the passenger side and put your head on the floor mat and look next to the motor, it is there in the open.
