Im gonna assume you took your corded sawzall under the Tahoe and tested it? So your sawzall is maybe 16-20” long plus blade? Google battery hackzalls. They’re much smaller, pack the same punch, and a only need 1 hand to operate. It Just got easier and more accessible with that tool
I took my battery Hack from Harbor ( a piece of sh(!, but it works) it reaches up there for sure.

i guess all this fuss about protecting your Cat may be over stated, this guy was more concerned about someone stealing his rear seat, so he decided to paint in. HA. OMG.

it happens a lot around here, what they recommend is welding some rebar to it, not sure what that does it either makes it noisy as hell and/or slows them down.
the etching can usually be done for free but that does no good if the buyer is not playing fair.
as for cutting them open to get the contents out, these idiots are pet rock smart they don't have the chemicals and processing equipment to make any money out of the guts.
the typical cat thief is a 18-25 year old "homie" that is it out on rotation, but there are a few older "homies" that get out on circulate again from time to time.

My main worry would be that these drugged up hacks don't care what else they hit.
Wires fuel lines, bell housing, etc.

Being away from home would be shit, having to hear the drone all the way home...
Ugg!

It's running rampant around them, they're in Newark.
I know, we were up in East Brunswick the first 8 weeks of the year and it was all over the news, Mid State Mall had several cars hit while we we were up there, my mother in law does not live far from it and she is all freaked out about it, but her Forester is not one of the top targets.

I like the one comment "If I were out stealing cats and saw someone go to these lengths I would just start cutting everything under that truck I could reach from fuel lines to brake lines and wiring looms, etc. Paranoia breeds negative consequences", Thats when I would like to 'angle grind' his **** off.
Reddits full of Strange people lol
