CEL: On, then off, then on again?

Hello,
I'm new to the forum and new to ownership of my yukon. I purchased an 06 denali last week. A couple days later the CEL came on. I planned to head in an get the code read, but the next day the light was off. I thought that was odd.

My wife drove it 2 more days, and now it is back on again. I will still go get the code read, but I have a couple questions.

-If I get into town and the light is off again, can the code still be read?
-Is there something more serious going on with the electrical system that needs to be diagnosed?

Its just an intermittent type deal. I bet its... MAF sensor.

Thanks for the tip. Gonna have it checked Saturday. Hoping is the MAF or gas cap. We will see I guess.

Turns out is was the MAF sensor. It didn't need to be replaced, just cleaned. That was the on again, off again. It was just on the cusp of the necessary air flow to turn on the light.

I wasn't too worried, but I'm glad it was minor having just bought it.
