Like Geotrash, I will not be able to access the area today. I will try to as quick as I can but that area will need some disassembly and a bit of time…Hello All, recently purchased 16 Suburban 3500 LS. It was a homeland security vehicle. Wire under radio dash is cut. Everything works as it should except the USBs below radio and in the jump seat.
Does anyone have a photo of what this is to look like or know what this goes to?
I have searched this forum and the web but can not find dash and consul or jump seat wiring diagram.
Please help. Thank you all.
Hello Bigburb3500, appreciate your help with this. Thanks for the welcome.
Its located right under the center left. Under the drivers temp control knob close to floor.
See attached photo with red arrow.
Great eye! That might just need plugged in or a small extension to make the plug work. Also, note that this looks like a mini usb connector. My guess is it originally went to the USB outlet at the back of the center console.

Yes, this is the jump seat wire harness that needs to go to front under the radio where the cut is to connect and get power to the jump seat USBs.Also, note that this looks like a mini usb connector. My guess is it originally went to the USB outlet at the back of the center console.

I wish you luck finding one. I just realized one again in this moment how old I am - even when I do have a photo, I find the wiring diagram easier to work with because when I learned to work on cars, photos were hard to find.Thank you for all your help...I will keep searching and trying to figure this out. (love this rig, itll be much nicer once I'm able to charge my phone and get the apple carplay to work)
All I really need to know what the cut wires (attached photo) used to look like before they were cut. What type of plug or plugs did it have.
For example if I can find a photo like this drawing attached (from center consul) where we see where it goes and connects.
As my plan is to remove the jumpseat and replace with center consul but I will need to figure out the cut wires first so I can connect the center consul.
