Bigburb3500, they are color coded and thats what I might be doing. I do want to find out what each color wire is for before doing this as to my Suburban does not have heated seats or I don’t think it does with my cloth seats. Also not sure if it will do the back climate control on back of the new console.

Anyone help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi all, owner of a '08 2500 looking at getting into a 3500. Had read this thread previously and was wondering what it would take to swap the console so very timely. I might be able to get wiring diagrams for these.

Let me know if you'd prefer this in a different thread, but I'm interested to hear from those of you who have gone from a 2500 LT to a 3500 LS, what features do you miss? Also, what options are there for tow mirrors?

I will support this because I used to have a 01 Sub 2500! Welcome and I will say I lovey 3500. Rides a bit stiff but not bad my any means. I retired my 99 Toyota from DD duties for my current 2018 3500 LT.
Only options I miss: Sunroof and venting 3rd windows. I drive with windows down a lot and 3rd row vent is the best.
Options I wish I had and might add: Ventilated front seats
Options I want but not necessary: Adaptive cruise and lane centering.

Tow mirrors: https://www.carid.com/trail-ridge/d...zQr0V0XeW06Uqy5o48NAMIM8emm8W-IM9PELAJE&gQT=2

Well, getting a LT would be ideal but they are super rare. Going from a 2008 2500 to the 3500 it’s basically the same chassis and drivetrain so I expect that to be similar. I love my ‘08, but at 208K I’m thinking that if I can knock off 100K+ miles and 8 years I should easily be good for another 100K. Going from the LT to the LS would be a downgrade for some features, but maybe some can be retrofit.

I believe the main option differences are “simple” leather vs cloth. Auto dimmer center mirror vs non-dimming and….? Maybe some insulation/acoustic dampening? Probably Blindspot monitoring.
Mechanically they are all the same.

I can't find a 2016 order guide, but I did find a 2018, and in 2018 the heated seats were LT only... but I have seen a 2016 LS with a console and heated cloth seats. Does anyone know if the wiring is there for heated seats? If I could swap in heated seats and a console to a LS that would be nice.

TripleFJeff welcome to the forum. Thats what Im currently working on. Bought a 16LS Homeland Security Suburban which had the police center console in it. They took that out and placed a central jump seat in it. The main dash wire they cut so non of my USB plugs work (see attached photos in the forum) Everything else works fine. Just got the harness and a nice center console that has the buttons for heated seats.

My question are where I can find color coated diagram for the harness so I know what each wire does before I splice the new harness into my cut harness.

Also wondering if my cloth seats have the heating elements in them.

?

Have you looked through the upfit link geotrash provided?

@TripleFJeff I believe if you go thru some of the SSV and PPV threads they have successfully installed interiors from other trims. I also asked several ppl about installing other seats in my truck (ventilated) and am generally under the impression it can be easily done.

Just spend $22 for a 3 day subscription to GM TDS, and download everything you need. It will be money well spent for the time it saves you.
