Never worry, as this is never a competition here. Folks here do what they want to do with their trucks, to the extent of what they can afford to do, And what their specific desires are for their truck. Some of us go a little further and do some things that we really cannot afford to do, but do it anyway. One of our folks, @PNW VietVet , seems to be in the process of rebuilding his entire truck. Lol

The important point here is that we all support each other, and help each other with our different mods, to the extent that we can. And equally important, is that we all learn for each other's successes and failures.

LOL! Yes, I have been rebuilding with Genuine GM stock parts from front to rear and under the whole truck but the only performance parts are the front and rear Hellwig bars. After purchase and a very thorough inspection I found no rust and no accident damage and while all parts were in good working order, I wanted it back to OE stock condition so I could depend on it from point A to point B. I know that @Joseph Garcia loves his Hellwig bars too. It has been a process and all done in just a little over a year. The only major rebuild to do still is the a/c system and the heater core. Thought about the radiator fans but having problems finding the GM fans. Likely do the oil cooler up front as well. It is ongoing now as piece meal instead of full on system after system. Plus, I made some money back from selling the used parts/components. But again, like @Joseph Garcia said, we fix 'em and add to 'em and upgrade 'em as we see fit and like to do. The Tahoe and Yukon platforms are great for doing that process.
