I wonder how this would work? Most of my wiring isn’t in a plug, it’s been hacked into and what not.

Post some pics of what you’re talking about. Much of the upfitter wiring supplied with PPVs isn’t used when adding civilian features.

This is what comes out of my dash with the console removed

And what my new center console has. I was able to plug in the usb outlets and cig outlet up front, but nothing out back. I need something to connect to the two large plugs into the console.

Most of that coming from the dash won’t be used with the exception of the two orange covered wires. That connects in with my harness and carries the 120v circuits to the rear of the console. For the rest of it, you could trace back to the X61A junction block next to the brake pedal and remove.

Here’s what one version of my conversion harness looks like. It connects between the floor connector and the large 42 pin console connector, smaller gray connector and the two 120v connectors.

GM used two different types of floor connectors that would supply a jump seat on suvs without center consoles. Either a 16 pin or 23 pin. I’ve primarily seen the 23 pin on 2015 models.

16 pin

23 pin

The floor connector is located under a flap in the floor liner under the passenger seat.

For the harness coming out of the floor in yours, it looks like a modified jump seat harness. See if you can follow it under the floor liner to see what connector type you have.

Awesome post! I just bought 2016 Tahoe PPV 4x4 from the local police dep. and starting my mods.
First thing I want to make the suspension softer, it's very stiff for me as I drive small kids in the rear it becomes very jittery sometimes...
Any Ideas about suspension mod?
And of course, facing some headache with center console harness

Thanks! They removed a heavy gun safe from the trunk
and now I think camber is little off, I don’t think it’s adjustable , might be rear axle is bent?

I was looking into getting the Bilstein 5100s, I had them in my GEN3 SSV and loved them, their website says "No Police Package" for our GEN4s but I think it will still work just fine, I'd set the adjustable height ring to the lowest setting for our PPVs, since they are the lowest of the Tahoes.

If your axle was bent you would notice it every time you drove the car and the tires would be wearing weirdly.
