So my check engine light came on and screen flashed low engine power on my 2011 Tahoe. Code reader at the local auto parts store said throttle body or sensor in the gas pedal. I looked around online and determined a dirty throttle body can produce theses symptoms. As I was making way to the throttle body I removed the gray top clip as I watched in a video. In the video the plug came right off at that point. On mine when I pulled it off I heard some plastic break and now the plug does not securely stay on. There is a purple plug on the bottom and the gray top clip in this black housing. The black housing that connects to the throttle body is the part that is broken. It will slide on to the throttle body, but is not secure. Any way I can buy that part. Anyone have a link/part name or number. It looks like I could remove the purple plug from the current broken housing and not have to mess with any wiring nonsense. Any help would be appreciated. Sorry I didn't snap some pictures.

Update. This thing has turned into total hell. I went to the dealer for a new plug. Ran into my neighbor who works in the service dept. He advised me the throttle body sensor was a common issue and Chevy extended the warranty to cover it. I leave the truck there. They call me in a day to come pick it up. Everything's covered. Life is good. Porter brings my car around and the check engine light is on. They take it back in and clear the code, thinking maybe it didn't get cleared prior to leaving the garage. My neighbor notes the only other thing it could really be based on what they found was the sensor on the gas pedal. Being a genius I bought one with his discount, also saving myself a trip back to the dealer. If the check e light comes on again I will replace the pedal and call it a day. Easy job. I had some things to do so I made about an hour trip. On my way back home sure as shit the light comes on. Low engine power. Service stabilitrack. The works. I replace the pedal and a local shop clears the code. Good as gold. Run to the store and everything falls apart again. Back to my local shop. Owners best guess is perhaps the throttle body was not meant to be taken apart and it's a cheap fix on Chevys behalf. He makes a deal with me. He will put on a new throttle body if it works perfect, if it doesn't he will return it and refund me the $. Perfect. Get it back and the truck is perfect. Make a 150mile round trip no prob. This morning I get in it to go to work and about a mile from my house check e light comes on, reduced engine power and service stabilitrack. It's back at the shop and I have no clue what could be wrong. Sorry if I rambled a bit here. No one hit on the initial post. Anyone deal with issues like this?

There have been multiple codes for the pedal sensor and initially codes for the throttle body sensor. I don't have them available at the moment.

I put my serpentine belt (used to be called a Fan Belt) on wrong and it wore a hole in my air intake plastic body which caused acceleration from the petal impossible and the digital warning "reduced engine power."

If you have an air leak between the air filter and the air intake this will happen to you. Check for Leaks/cracks loose connections go towards the air intake and you may have found the problem.

Glad you got it fixed but I'm curious how this happened to you. The S-belt is still a few inches away from any air intake components at the closest point.

I just took another look at the engine bay, and I think I see where he had the issue. The tensioner pulley gets pretty close to a part of the stock airbox if it's not under any tension and is sprung all the way to the left.
