How do you get the map lights out of the front overhead console. They don't push in and turn like the other map lights.

Also, for the guys that have done their AC controls; if you had to do it again, would you spend the extra money and get the "high power" models or just stick to the regular ones superbrightleds.com sells.

I do notthink the regular 3157 will work. Believe they were having problems with the LEDs getting fried, that is why they came out with these new SRCK bulbs. Has been a problem with other places that make LEDs also.

I had to take down the whole upper console to get to the map lights, don't know if there is an easier way. I's stick with the regular LEDs for the HVAC...I probably would have gone with the high powered ones if they had them when I bought mine. Then again I sometimes over do it with the lights lol

How does your HVAC and light switch compare to your cluster. Is it really dim or does it look good compared to it?

BTW, thanks for the advice on the map lights.........

They are much, much dimmer than the cluster.

I'm just worried about hot spots if i buy the "high power" model. Maybe I'll buy a high power for the light switch and the regular ones for the HVAC.

No, LEDs run much cooler than regular incadescent bulbs.

Well, I finally got a chance to take my overhead console down and tear into the rear HVAC controls. They are definitely NOT 194’s but do look a lot like them and are a wedge type bulb. If anyone could look at the pictures below and help me out as to what size bulb these are I’d be very appreciative. As soon as I get these identified I’ll be ordering the last batch of LED’s to finish off the job.
