what idid you do to your running boards?
they look like they just may NOT be slip n slide deathtraps when wet.
Is it bedliner?

Yup that is Line-X, they can color match any paint code, slightly more expensive then the standard black line-X. Cost me $100 to get them done.

You're welcome man, Check out my album there is a nice close up of the texture. They are far better now then they used to be when wet.

Those pictures are so beautiful looking

Thank you sir, now pick up the pace and pull the seats and carpet already... haha

Does GM have any sound insolation stock??

Not much at all, what amounted to a couple of molded (carpet padding like material) pieces placed in the only a few areas on the truck.

Here are some pictures of today running the two 8 gauge wires, two sets of speaker wires along with a power and video wire for the backup camera. Previous crappy installers had poked holes in my rear hatch boot entering the truck and entering the hatch and ran the wires on the outside....The sign of someone who doesn't give a crap about his work. Well I do, and everything is being done the right way. All wires follow the factory wireing harness to where they need to be...speaker wire and both 8 gauge to the pass. bottom, power and video to the middle for the camera, and the last speaker wire to the drivers side bottom.

Had to pull the video cable first due to the size of the RCA connection. Then came the speaker wires b/c of the material (sticky type rubber cover), followed by the slick 8 gauge wires and camera power wire.

looks good so far. nice install. can tell your taking ur time with it

Thanks, I'm a little bit of a perfectionist when it comes to my rides. Even though I know almost no one will see it, and it will even get covered up with dynamat. I wouldn't be as proud of it at the end if I didn't do it right. I wish I had more time to work on it, but she gets closer day by day.

Happen to know if I just dynamat my rear access door would I notice a difference with my 2 alpine type R subs or would there not be enough to justify the install?

* The only "shaking" of my car from the subs is the rear wiper and nothing else shakes :)

I would think it would reduce it a lot, if not eliminate it completely, but of course I can't say for sure. Not to mention after one layer if you are not happy, you can always double up.
The rear hatch interior panels are pretty easy to remove and it will only take you all of 30 mins - hour to dynamat, so the time investment isn't that much.

I was going to make some kick panels from scratch for my front 5 1/4" Infinity kappas but then I found this, and I figured I would save myself a lot of work. They are made by Q-Logic. I will be covering them in leather or painting them gloss black and most likely modifying them so I can use the infinity wire mesh grill insted of their supplied grill. The picture I pulled off google images and it is a 6 1/2 speaker, appears to be decent quality. What do you guys think? Anyone delt with these? or any Q-Logic product?
