If you end up going with the 305/55's then you will be trimming so do not put the front tires on until you pull the plastic fender liner out. This way you will be able to see what exactly needs to be trimmed. Up front behind the foglights there is a plastic honeycomb type support, you will need to cut this support back. You want to cut just enough so that the screw for the front bumper still has a spot to screw into(the stock spot). Once you get it clearenced then make a couple slots in the remaining plastic support so one of those large(3ft-4ft) wire ties will fit thru it, you will need 2 slots for 2 seperate locations to pull the fenderliner back once it is installed again. The backside of the wheelwell is where the trimming of metal comes into play. If you go over to dieselplace.com and search for large fender mod you will find a step by step procedure to gain more clearance. If that does not do it, which it should then let me know I have a couple other tricks to do to allow a little more clearance.
Hope this helps, I know reading it is confusing and I can see if I have any pics of it, but crawl under your Yukon and just take it all in so you are familiar with the types of materials you will be working with and figure out if you have the correct tools to do the job.
