cranks wont start

ok my 2000 yukon drove to store fine last night. this morning it cranks over fine but doesnt even seam to try to fire. Ive read some forums and it looks like it is probably the fuel pump. question#1 anyone have a walkthrough on replacing the fuel pump. also I keep gettin the stupid p code about the evap canister/gas gap blah blahg blah could this be related to my fuel pump going out? any help or advice would be great

My 01 Yukon had a fuel pump replacement two months ago. The engine fired up, but stalled within 2 seconds. The first thing I did was to replace the fuel filter, no help. I did get some codes about the O2 sensor, I think it is caused by uncompleted combustion. After replaced the pump, everything is fine.
It's possible to replace the pump by yourself, I've seen it on YouTube. You have to decide if it is worth $300 labor. Good luck!

I think you just drop tank. If your mechanical inclind then not hard if your not cant get testy. Would help if tank is almost empty i have done that with a full tank wow that sucks.. any way ya codes could he because of pump....but i would make sure pump first.

For the heck of it.. Try holding the gas pedal to floor while cranking - if it happned to flood out, this turns off the injectors. Or try banging on the gas tank when cranking

yes I did the bang on gas tank trick and it worked to get my truck started and into the driveway. I found a new pump on ebay for $216 just waiting on payday. I am sure its the pump after the tank bang test. I saw the u tube vid looks simple enough. what sucks is, take a guess what I did the morning the pump died yup Thats right filled up the tank lol should be fun Ill let yall know how it goes. still looking for any tips / advice especially on the best way to syphon the gass out.
