I've done a bunch of overhead monitors
usually put in place where the dome is (in that general area) you will need to put a piece of wood behind the headliner (cheapest way) up there to support the weight of the.monitor wiring is easy...
Buy one with hookups for game systems (some only come with DVD player and no hook ups So watch for that)

i forgot what size mine is (15" maybe) but i made it look like it was supposed to be there when i redid the headliner, i took my dome and put it in the back. the dvd had lights in it. and for removable game system it has the extra 3 on the back. it was best buys (insignia i think) it has 2 sets of rca's inside as well, i picked up 2 of them for 40$ from a friend, just didnt want to put 2 in. dont have a pic of it but its sitting on a foam base and the unit screws into .100" thick aluminum plate (about 6" bigger than unit) i epoxied to the headliner. overkill but i had it laying around

How hard was it to remove the head liner and what type of fabric did you use? Thinking of doing that this weekend.

headliner was pretty easy, i just layed back the front seats as far as possible and slid it out the back. set the headliner on 2 sawhorses and go slow. i got the fabric from hancocks, it was actual headliner fabric, i think i got 5 yards which also gave me enough to redo the speaker covers in the back as well. word of advice make sure you round the front over the board by say 1/2". also you really cant tell but in the back on the drivers side the fabric didnt go all the way over, it was 1" short from the side edge. the black border around the back side window hides it as well so i didnt worry about it
