Please don’t flame me as I’m sure this has been covered in bits and pieces across the forum.

My 08 denali sits on factory 22's and rides rough compared to any escalade i have driven with the same setup .

None of my shocks are blown or leaking airs up fine.

So being a car head i have the itch to fix something that’s not really broke.

A couple of questions from experience?

Is the autoride programmable at all? i have the autocal from Justin and i read somewhere with the tow haul it changes settings on the ride control.

I see many go away from the autoride and get traditional struts. Why? and which ones are good for what? What model do you have?

Ultimately I would like to lower 2/3 and run 24's. i live in nyc with pretty rough roads.

Being a father of 3 I need to purchase in pieces over time and do the work myself. I want to achieve the smoothest most comfortable ride possible for the buck. I truly appreciate any input you can share from experience.

No

To go real low. If you deflate your bags all the way to go 5+ inches, it rides like poop. Or if you don't want to mess with replacing bad (expensive) struts or compressor, you can just go to a regular setup

you can do a 2/3 and 24's and keep autoride and have it ride good. Talk to Tony.

the truck in rear if you go 3 or more cut bracket off frame and do the new bumpstops and endlinks and your done. My wife drives our esky daily with no issues with 2 kids.

60k ultimatly after everything just looking for a smoother ride. In my searches I saw a guy call his denali a elephant on roller skates. That describes mine as well.

I think these trucks all ride the same, and it's not as smooth as you'd think. I went back and forth from lowering to stock to leveling up to stock and back to full lowering, and the difference in ride has depended mostly on the autoride links settings. Otherwise, I think we all have the same shocks in all three models.

My move to 22"s from 20"s made the ride a little worse. I'd bet that 24"s would make things a lot worse.

I live near Philly, so I'm dealing with the same road conditions as you.
