Damn, I didn't know there was a difference in amps. I actually don't have Bose in my Hoe. Sorry to get your hopes up. What are the differences?

I truley have no idea. I have a 5600 that I ordered and it was the wrong one. Its all about half the size of the one thats in there. Maybe its bc i have DVD or navi? idk, maybe someone else can chime in.

Do you have the center point speaker in the dash?

We have very similar systems and these are my part numbers. Check out Ken's thread for his comments on this system as well. The Bose systems have two amps, one dumb and the other is the high end luxury which was used on Denalis and Escalades and I think also used the speaker position in the dash for the extra channel. The dumb system cannot be worked on with the Tech2 electronically, the Luxury amp can. Again, Ken explains the differences in his thread which I posted links to a few pages ago here.

Turns out it was a 4 ohm speaker. I pulled it out and am going to order a 2ohm. I guess I will see if the audio level jumping issue goes away while the speaker is out.

I checked the specs for the one that swathdiver listed and it's supposed to be 1.9 ohm so that could be your problem. I wouldn't run the system very loud with no speaker there, probably should set the fader to the rear speakers until you get a new front just to be safe.
