Diablo worth it?

I bought the diablo tuner to raise my idle to 600 RPM. Just not smooth at 500. I tried the 87 tune but didn’t see a benefit the engine started to ping under light load going uphill before downshifting. So I just modified stock tune with increase RPM and AFM turned off. I’m happy. My Tahoe is fast enough off the stop with the bigger gears in max tow package. Heck it’s not a race care. It’s a family hauler.
