Is it the entire frame like that?

I checked after I found the hole and I didn't find anything as bad but I am going to take a wire brush/wheel to it this weekend to be really sure.

Dude thats unsafe. Your asking for an accident. Id either try and find a frame or part it out.

I'm not driving it right now. It's sitting at my work and I'm driving my 92 Silverado.

If you can clean it up and fix it go that route or get a better frame and swap it looks great besides that

To get an idea of weather it just sat in snow or it was in a very high moisture area look behind the dash, under the seats, bushings. Brake booster ect and look for rust. If it's everywhere you may want to pass it on.

I drove my 4dr with rot like that on both frame rails for over a year without any problems. I recently had it welded up for $175 aside only because they caught it on the inspection this year.

I have the same problem with my 2 door yukon, I was wondering how safe it would be after repaired. My damaged area is where the engine cradle is boxed in and comes down to the straight rails

So to update on my situation I went through the frame and while there aren't any more holes the frame is getting very thin in a lot of places. I just bought a 98 Silverado for parts and I'm going to be replacing the section of frame on the Tahoe with a piece from it.
