Do I need to do anything with this battery current sensor?

It's like there is no dates to tell when a update took place .. Its like you need to know what version software is in programer . TBS says version 8.5 is where they fixed the fly by wire throttle.. but I don't know where they get the 8.5 from.

Must be version for scanner / programer..

On my end on scanner all look like reference numbers are the same . So each must be a packet of code with parameters..

I would "guess" that the CVN is something like a calibration version number; the higher, the more recent. Just a guess, though.

EDIT: CVR is calibration verification number

if you had a tech2 you could read all the calibrations and then reference what they printed out or check it on tdsweb, tds web will show you if there are any updates to install.

This guy does a good job of going through a PCM recalibration using the Tech 2, and explains the CVN numbers. He does a little explanation of the programming at the beginning and starts a couple without going through the whole process, but the full programming starts at about 4:00 min in. He gets into the CVNs at around 9:30. It might be helpful to watch all of it starting at the 4 min mark.

See you can't tell by the regular scanners witch version or updates are in there .. because goes by GMs software number in programer . I'm guessing ..

I took snap shot of this info before he updated it today . And it's all same now .
So there is more to it to tell where the updates were added to firmware.

There like computer reference numbers and programer has version number thats updated I know it was version 8.5 in 2009 lol

Because physically yukon xl runs and shifts better .

The only way you'd know what original firmware was in it was if you got a snapshot of that before yours was programmed. The TIS2000 shows the CVNs and where in the versions your old firmware was, and to what CVN it will update. Watch the video I posted at 9:30 and you can see how the CVN numbers compare. The beauty of a Tech 2 and TIS2000 for the NBS.

Ok I understand GM dealers are going stick together like glue . But he just updated it today 2021 and TSB is dated found in 2006 and realised update in 2009 to dealers . And it fixed it I stop and started it 15 times now .
No codes on throttle body . It would tripped already .. so I confirm .. what ever version GM dealers have now . For 2006 gmc yukon xl slt fixes the P2108 P1516 U0107 combo trouble code .. [emoji106]

TSB is below .

From what I see that calibration was released in late 2006, not 2009. I doubt that GM is updating the NBS calibrations; they should all be on the latest version of the TIS2000 software.

Yes as I see it there not good about dates and there updating.. question is how many never got that update . And guys replaced all fly by wire components.. to find out the reduce engine speed is still there. Because if it was released late 2006 that's when mine was new and sold . Who would think it was never updated till 2021. Crazy ..

It's only 2006-2007 in TSB.
