ok so i have been doing as much research on here as i can, and ive come to the conclusion that its best for my yukon to do the dod delete kit from texas speed. i see that you can get an ls9 cam instead of the 5.3 cam. anybody on here done that and if so how did it work out for you and is there anything else you recommend to go with it?
thanks

I know some guys just disabled AFM with a tune, though they will chip in. I think is better to do it with a kit,

Thought I responded to this thread already. I wouldn't be putting a car cam in my truck. You'll be moving the powerband up, turning the truck into a dog off the line until you get the motor spinning passed 3000 rpms.

As for the DOD Delete, I was all set to do this. First got the tune and then learned that right before purchase, the entire AFM system had been rebuilt with all the latest and greatest parts. So when my wife heard this she quickly went on a spending spree! LOL

Someday it'll get done and when I do, it will be with a small crane cam of the kind we've talked about on this forum before. Still makes plenty of horsepower and torque without spinning the motor hard or requiring new springs and rockers and a converter to make it driveable.

I thought I seen that too.
