Agreed
You can just get a used 03-06 OEM dash bezel already painted in your color and radio cage off EBay for cheaper. Mine was harder to find since it was a Denali.

Agreed that this kit is more expensive but easier to install. All you have to do it take off old bezel get rid of metal bracket and then put in the radio with the supplied moutning hardware, and put in the new bezel. You don't have to swap out radio cage, which is nice because then you keep your ash tray and all and save a bunch of head aches. I agree its expensive hence why I just trimmed my original bezel to fit the radio

I didn't have the option of that kit with my Denali, nor could I cut the old bezel due to the way it's shaped around the radio opening. I've heard of others going with the bezel swap from an 03 and when I was looking there were some for around $50-75 that were for the regular non Denalis. My ash tray isn't involved but that could be an issue I guess.

And your way is a lot cleaner way if you don't mind putting in the extra work. I was going to go that route but noticed the pricing went up because a lot of people were doing it and I guess the sellers caught on. IN the end I figured I just trim the stock bezel and if it came out looking bad I would of went the way you did but in the end im content with how mine came out and just left it as is. Im just letting people know what options they have because I didn't know that kit existed till a couple of months ago

Its a NNBS Esky one, bought it brand new. The + and - buttons don't do anything since they're for the 6- sp trannies. I just re-wired the connector off my old one so the tow/ haul button works.
Got the PN by chance? I've seen several and I like how your's has the stitching on the back. Cheers.
