My cheapo system is in! I spent about than $250 on this.
Scosche line out converter $20
Scosche 1200w 6 gauge wire kit $40
2 Rockford Fosgate HX2 10" subwoofers, box, Kenwood 1000w amp $150
Subwoofer volume knob $8
Boss 6.5s and 4x10s $35

This box sucks, I need to stick them in ported boxes on each side so these hx2's can reach their full potential.

Nice Yukon, how are those Boss 6.5s workin out for you? Are you running an amp to them and are they in the front or rear doors or both?

I built a new subwoofer box today, 3/4" MDF.

60" wide X 18" deep X 14" tall. 6 cubic feet, ported with 3 4" X 11" PVC pipes. One layer of R13 fiberglass insulation along the bottom.

I was using 2 10" Rockford Fosgate HX2 subwoofers on a 40amp (500watts RMS) Kenwood amplifier. About a week ago on a whim I bought 2 12" Dual SD12 subwoofers from walmart to put in a box in the house hooked up to the stereo. They slam pretty hard for a $30 speaker! :D So, I bought 2 more and took the 2 out of the house and put them in my truck. Shit bangs in the ported box with only 500 watts. I'd like to get a new amp for a full 700 watts RMS.

Nice build man and I love the wheels they look perfect on our obs trucks! Nice box too but, do you have it bolted on the humps in the cargo area and if not does it slide a little to the rear on fast take-offs?

You get what you pay for with those. They are crap. I should have never bought them, but the factory speakers were blown. I can't decide what speakers I want to install next or else I would have tossed them a while ago. I'm leaning towards home theater speakers with an amp. 6.5" mids in the doors, new tweeters, a few 8" or 10" mid bass in a custom center console...mmmm

It's not bolted down, but it fits really snug. It does rock back and forth if you push on it hard, but it has never fallen off the wheel wells. I have many fast take offs to prove it. :driver:

Those Dual subs have held up really well so far. I'm running them on two amps 800 watts. The "175w RMS" written on the box is about the max for these subs.

Finally decided it was time to stick the '47 emblem on with my high beam HIDs arriving in the mail in a few days. Rather than take the front fascia off twice, I'm going to do both in one go.

Poor girl is going to look sad for a few days. :(

Grills gonna look nice man! Those mids gonna be cool too. Question on your box, is it straight through with all 4 subs in or each sub has own box space? I like the way it looks and was thinking about pulling something like that off.
