After spending an hour with a heat gun and goof-off, and only getting about 4 feet of pinstripe removed, I wanted to try something else. Eraser wheels seem to be pretty highly recommended, so I picked one up off of Amazon. After trying it for a bit, I seem to have a problem. It leaved behind an orange/brown mark everywhere it touches except where the actual pinstripe was. So now, instead of 2 pinstripes, I have what looks like 3 faint pinstripes (above, between, and below where they actually were). What's weird is that the only spot it's not leaving a mark is where the adhesive was. I've tried washing, rubbing compound, and goof-off, but its still there. I've also tried various speeds on my drill. As slow as I can go and still hold it still, and up to max of 2500 rpm. This can't be normal. Any suggestions?

Update: I don't know what the problem was initially, but I figured I was committed at this point, so I just kept going and it eventually turned out alright. Maybe I just needed to get the thing warmed up or something. Anyways, pinstripes and SLT, YUKON, and GMC badges are history. Took longer to clean up the eraser dust than it did to actually take everything off. What do yall think?
