wow that pretty crazy man. I am glad you ended up going to turbines instead of blowers. The cost of power to spin them,..I think wouldn't outweigh the novelty of it. Cool idea but, I think you went far better with your current choice of twinturbos. Is that a TRICK kit? Or custom? It looks like a sweet layout, kinda thinking about using a set of twins I have laying around for mine as well(tahoe).

Looking forward to seeing more of this beast. One thing though, any reason why your going with MORE gear? I would imagine the thing is gonna be a torque monster to begin with on 3.42's...?

Again, badass man!! :headbang:

Yep, the idea is good, and I'm satisfied with the sound as well. It's sounds like a stock but much deeper as it goes through turbines housing.
It is not a kit, unfortunately, all custom made. Otherwise it tooks few weeks not 6 months.
3.73 gear: i can increase strength of 6L80 tranny to work with 1000+HP engine, but nothing can be done with the transfer case actually. So new gears will make T-Case life easier and longer :)))

Cool deals. Looks good man. Any more pics of the build progress? Link or anything to another site perhaps? Wish I had a 6l80 in my tahoe.

Any pics of outside? is this thing a sleeper or what?

Word.

Here are some pics of the process) the photo #4 - water to air intercooler
It looks like stock from outside. Yes it's a bit lower, with BBK installed, but that is all you can see from outside. I will make few pics later

Nice. I have one of those air to water intercoolers for my twin turbo vette that I am currently not using(air to air right now) but I always wanted to find another use for it lol. Are you planning on mounting it up high like that or you gonna get it down low?

Looks pretty wild man. Gotta love those 6 bolt blocks. You'll hurt driveline parts long before you hurt that motor :head3:

LOL)) no, intercooler went down, below crank level so one uppipe with two BOVs' and MAF sensor goes to Holley's' intake

Im sure you done your homework but why go with two blowers? 1000hp can easily be supported by one large one, imo

I don't see the problem with running dual blowers (even tho he has hair dryers now), it seems like he wanted a challenge.

You are absolutely right. The same HP can be done with one Garrett 45 or 47, but you need at least 3600-3800RPM for the large turbine starts to spool. With two smaller turbines I need 2600-2700RPM only, so that is more useful for a daily driving :))) I wasn't building my esky for a drag racing only :))

No question of weather or not possible, been done since the 60's,..I think more of the WHY comes into question...when you could do it other ways, with less of a load,..like how two belt driven blowers would be more of a load/strain on the engine vs 1 larger blower(still using power) or a more efficient turbo/twin setup. Glad he went twins myself. Should be awesome.
