Yes, may be a bad new bearing assembly, yes, may be an assembly problem, yes, may have problem at brakes on that side, yes, brake line/hose could be holding pressure when foot is off brake pedal, yes, besides the smell, what did you experience?ok, so picked up the escalade last night from mechanic. Things didn't go as smooth. So when dropping the front diff to replace the brackets, mechanic noticed a diff leak on the end of the diff passenger side which was the seal. So I gave him the ok to replace the bearing and seals on that side as well as on the driver side. Figured that at 120k miles do both while at it. Happens that on one side the T-tab locking adjuster was broken. So in order to replace that he had to tear down the diff to get that into place. Anyways, that was done. We also went ahead and replaced front driver side wheel hub and both left and right tie rod ends.
No there is a problem. Drove the truck to work this morning as I was going to drop off at alignment shop and I noticed a heavy burning smell from the front driver side wheel and also the rim was extremely hot. All other rims were nice and cool and no funky smell. Is this possibly a bad new wheel bearing or am I now having brake issues?
By the way, the clunk noise is GONE!!!!
What is the recommended tire pressure on the sidewall at what weight rating? If you run the tire too low on air pressure, you will wear the outer edges of the tire too quick because the center of the tire will cup away from the road while rolling.Ok, alignment is done. Escalade is running and feeling great. Just need to take car of little trimming in the bottom corner of the front bumpers as tire is running just slightly.
For anyone run running 35x12.50r24, what tire pressure are you guys running? The alignment place put 58PSI of pressure and I think that's way to much. Ride is a little hard. Should I just drop it 35PSI?
I don't believe you need to recalibrate. Not towing. Daily driver to work by my self. I will drive it some more and see how I feel at 58.
Now I am guessing i need to recalibrate the tire sensors for the psi?
