I would check your rear suspension bushings paying close attention to your panhard bar.

take a look at the toe in on the front alignment. you don't mention if 2wd or 4wd. make sure the toe doesn't change significantly with suspension compressed. Could have something bent in steering linkage.

The mention of the np246 t-case in his signature did not offer you a clue that it is a 4wd?

If the weight of the vehicle is supported by the lower control arm, should the balljoints exhibit any play?

Actually the lower just keeps things togetherfor the most part, it is the upper arm and knuckle at the end that is bearing the grunt. They both wear tho. Iirc the wheel has to be off the ground to be prayed with a bar at the joint to see it. Might not be correct tho. I forgot lately.

I had the jack under the control arm lifting that corner, and those balljoints moved, a lot.

I fishtail over big bumps too when I'm driving 40+ in a straight line. I feel the rear of the truck shift to the right. It's kinda scary. Curious to know what causes this as well
