No. My truck is not a Christmas tree. :p

FINALLY got my HID bulbs. I think I'm done with DDM after this, though. Took two weeks to get, not because they took a while to send them, but because they came straight from China. Box was pretty well crushed along the way, too. The plastic bulb protectors did their job...think they are the only reason the bulbs survived the trip. Anyway, I just don't like doing business with China directly, so that's the last time I'll order from DDMtuning. It's been fun.

took me exactly 7 days to get my kits, but the box was demolished as well. half ripped open, i was surprised nothing was missing from it.

Do you have any pictures of the housings you are retrofitting? I can't tell much by the pictures of them on ebay.

Heading out of town for a few days. I have some pics I'll post from the hotel when I get time.

Picture heavy post

Keith, here you go. Hope this helps. I also have pics with measuring tape of the Fusion fogs if that's what you meant by the housings.

One unmolested, one with the included projector and halo ring removed. They are pretty basic and with a little cutting and JB Weld the Fusions should go right in the brackets.

The tricky part is making the halo ring fit around the projector. It should be doable with some careful trimming of the plastic housing around the halo ring. The Fusion projector is about 1/4" larger diameter than the included projector, so I'm going to have squeeze it in, but I think I can do it.

With the Fusion projector "in". Nothing is actually cut or attached here, I'm just kind of holding it all together, but this is roughly how it should look finished:

It's not going to look much different externally than the cheap halo housing, but the Fusions should be far superior lights. The projectors that came with them are crap...just looking in the front of the lens you can see the chrome flaking off the inside and the cutoff shield is really rough.

Thanks a lot for the pictures, Scott! I have been wanting to see pictures of these. I have thought about doing something similar to what you're doing. I did it once a while back with some Hella projector fogs, but they just weren't what I was going for. Do you have any idea what these look like installed? It seems in the pictures like they wont completely fill out the hole in the bumper for the foglight. That has really been my only holdback. I can't wait to see what you get done! Good luck!

I haven't tried them on the truck, but they should perfectly fit the existing Denali fog hole. The bracket and front lens are exactly like what are on there already, so I think the only gap will be the minimal one that allows for slight adjustments to the angle of the whole housing. They are supposedly OEM replacements, so they should fit right.

I think what I'm going to do is take off the Fusion brackets (these are nicely designed to just pop in and out with tabs for those cars...why can't ours ever be that easy?). Then cut the side pins on the projector until they fit tightly into the new bracket. They seem spaced just right, so I'm hoping I can tap into the plastic about 1/2" and just screw them in....that would be the easy way to do it. If that doesn't work, I'm going to have to get to work with the JB Weld.

Freakin' cheap-ass Chinese made things. I had one projector all set up and ready to be attached by the original screws in the housing brackets. Then one of the screws broke half-way in. Now I have to try to drill it out, which isn't working very well because the screw is made from a harder metal than the projector, and my bit keeps wanting to bite into the projector housing instead....this is becoming a PITA.

Had to ditch the whole halo assembly, too. The Fusion projectors just wouldn't it in. So I was basically going to have the projector mounted behind the lens. It'll look silly, IMO. Small projector in a big hole. Not sure what I'm going to do now.

Damn....sorry to hear that. I hate heap crap that's made in China. That was one concern I had with buying these things. Is there a shroud that you could get from TRS that would fill in the blank space?

Not sure. I may scrap the Fusions altogether. They are turning into a major hassle to retro. I should have just gone with the Blazers, but nooooo, I had to be different....lol.

I'm going to light-test them tonight and check the cutoff. I've done pretty heavy modding and before I do any permanent bonding I want to make sure the light is still going to be any good. If not, I'll go to plan B and get either Blazers or P1's and just make them work somehow.

I also scrapped the blue lens ring. It just didn't flow with the rest of things, so I painted it black.
