Gave the truck a wash early this morning after the recent storms.

Then pulled the random orbital out to give the Suburban a run over with Meguiar’s Ultimate Polish and finished off with a generous coat of Collinte’s 845 Insulator Wax.

All the chrome, including the wheels got polished out wth Flitz.

Any of you dads out there see this same effect from your wife and kids?

Grrrr... the interior will have to wait for another day. Drives me crazy!!View attachment 198080 View attachment 198081

Added another project along with the Suburban this weekend. Found this lacrosse rebounder on Craigslist on Saturday for a steal at $30. One of the welds was rusted out, the powder coat was fade and there was some bubbly rust on the ground support legs. The net however has plenty of bounce left in it though.

I pulled it apart and gave it a fresh coat of orange rattle can paint and ground out some of the rust spots with the grinder to slow up the corrosion.

I put it back together today so that my daughter could keep working on her skills. Major win!

This is why I stay single and have zero desire to have children of my own. I couldn’t handle the interior of my rides being treated like that. Nope they stay clean haha

YES!!!! drives me crazy and I don't get it. Why do they feel like it's acceptable to use the inside of the car the the cupholder in front of the console as a trash can?? I say something about it virtually every time we get in to go anywhere. I just have to do a George Costanza and say "Serenity now"

^^^Lol. I took matters into my own hands this morning before heading off to school and all the clutter is in the trash, in their rooms, the dishwasher, the laundry or off to be donated today. No more mess....for today. Still needs to be cleaned, but organized is a winner. Grrr....

Funny my wife couldn't find our kids rash guards from the beach for a few weeks. Well FML, it was in a Publix reusable bag buried in the rear cargo area....well duh!!!

You don't want to see the interior of mine then....it's NASTY......
I pretty much gave up and half ass clean it every now and then. I got tired of yelling about it. And keeping the kids from eating in there when we are constantly on the go is impossible.

I envy you......

Finally had a break from the rain this morning and the big girl got a much needed wash. Can’t really see how filthy the truck was, but trust me... it was.

The exterior got a solid wash, polished the chrome out (the wheels were done a short time ago, but ran out of time to do again today) threw some 303 on the plastics and wheel wells and decided to put a coat of Collinites 845 Insulator Wax all over the paint and chrome while I was at it.

The interior got vacuumed, wiped down and the mats were sprayed off.

Managed to dodge the isolated rain showers today and took my daughter to her end of year dance recital where she looked absolutely beautiful.

Quite a change from 2 weeks ago where she played a triple header lacrosse tournament in Parkland and the long body was dodging wrecks scattered all over
I-95 in the hammering rain.

And the NBS needs a wash too....
