Dude don't do that and risk burning your pump. My tank easily has $40 left when on red. I'm ok with that as long as it's consistant and I know what to expect. Sounds extreme but better then burning my pump. In abnormal situations I know I can go a lot further then what the gauge shows, and I'm happy about that. How far does $40 go? I don't want to know lol

I love the 40 gal tanks I was sad when the 13 Yukon xl had such a whimpy tank my tank is never that low and a bout 1/4 left on trips is when im finding a gas station

I fill up when my gauge reads just above empty and it only takes 19-20 gal.
