Fuel gauge sensor recall information

i had the same issue with my 01 tahoe. 5 yrs ago ....the gas gauge wasnt readin right.......this happened a few months after droppin the tahoe..and the back was Really bumpy...
we dropped the gas tank n the pump was fine...but the sendin unit..with the lil floaty wasnt workin ....

Thanks for the tip and I will take a look at the sending unit. Sounds like a good bet, however no way to avoid droppin the tank. Damn!

Anyone else diagnose the issue before?
