If you dont mine me asking, why do you have the G4's now? And since you had the G5's are they really noisy like ppl say they are?

The G5's aren't "really noisy". Seriously. I've had the G4's and G5's and they make minimal noise.

Got my G5's today and took me about 15 minutes to install the them. Really easy install once I figure out what 2 do. Really nothing to figure out (I'm an idiot when it comes to it). Attach the gray box to the lights.... Not sure if I will get the escalade appliqués because the look good with out them... Might do it later... Now for some gunmetal ck375 wheels.... :)

Since I didn't have the gray boxes from the beginning, I just put the 50 watt 6 ohm resistor on. It fixed the hyper flashing. You just connect each wire the resistor has to one of the wires that is connected to the plug that goes into the gray box.

But mines has the grey box so could there be a situation with that? Or I would be better just buying and replacing it like you did

I'm pretty sure the grey box just houses the resistor from factory. I would just go ahead and replace it with what I did. Seeing as I had hyper flash without the gray box and then I didn't once I installed the resistor. Hope that helps. PM me if you need any help.
