You clean the TB for the sticking issue, which is fine, but it doesn't do anything else like a lot of people think. They pop off the intake tube to see a dirty TB and clean it, thinking they just did a thorough cleaning because they now see clean and shiny metal on an "internal" part. So they hit the road flooring the throttle thinking they just did something great and now have all sorts of regained power- all because they wiped off some crud. It's like you needing your teeth professionally cleaned so you go to the dentist, but all he does is wipe your lips with a wet rag. Just wanted to keep things in perspective. Your intake will need to come off to be thoroughly cleaned and it's not difficult at all and it won't mess with any of the TB stuff- no idle relearn necessary or anything like that.
I gotcha ya, completely understand you and see what you are saying. Thank you.
For some more perspective... I am the biggest procrastinator and lazy mofo in the world and im trying to do it as fast and with as little 'work' as possible. Lolololol
Seriously, thanks dub I appreciate your time and knowledge and for trying to convince me to do it the right way...

Oh, I'm not trying to convince you one way or the other! I just picked your thread to vent a little rant since you were on the subject. If anything, at least you know what you may eventually have to do. It's certainly on my list for when I delete the AFM. Until then, it ain't causing me any problems.

Driver and passenger front doors, NYS came out with a new law in jan of this year
.....New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law does not allow a windshield or front side windows to block more than 30 percent of the light coming into a vehicle, meaning that 70 percent or more of the light from the outside must pass through the window. This law also applies to the rear window unless the vehicle has outside rear-view mirrors on both sides that provide the driver with a full and clear view behind the vehicle. Rear side windows must also allow at least 70 percent of light from the outside to pass through the window if the vehicle is classified as a station wagon, sedan, hardtop, coupe, hatchback or convertible. A vehicle falls into one of these categories if it is labeled “Passenger Car” on the Federal ID label found on the left front door panel. But if the label says MPV (multi-purpose vehicle), truck, bus, etc., then the vehicle’s side windows to the rear of the driver’s seat are exempt from widow tint inspection.......
Plus i can get a fine if pulled over for $150

You need to move or register your Tahoe in Florida..Very rarely do I hear vehicles get stopped for tint down here in the jungle. I notice Leos do not seem to pay attention to Tahoe's,Suburban's or Yukon's [anywhere] unless your in the hood.

I thought tint was legal in Fla.

That’s actually an arrestable offense to register a vehicle in the state which you do not reside. Just a headsup.
