I cranked the engine with fuel pump disabled and only got the normal start up sounds. I recorded the audio but do not see a method of attaching audio to this reply. I'll have to look when I can get on my computer. But fortunately no foreign object sounds. Curious.

That's good! There is a good chance you don't have mechanical interference (internal engine damage).
Now back to checking all connections.
Good luck and have a Merry Christmas. I know a downed vehicle sucks, but don't let it distract you from what is most important.

That's excellent news, now it's just a matter of finding what's not hooked up right!

Any ideas on what it could be? I will have to do some research on ohms specs for each sensor to determine if something is wrong with the IAC, MAP, etc. I don't think a voltage test on the throttle bottle is possible when the engine is inoperable. Any specific hose issues that would cause significant timing issues and knocks before stalling? Everything was reconnected but I'm thinking something isn't sending a reading or has a connector issue even when seated properly. Thanks for the help!

Are you sure all the injectors are connected? There are a LOT of little connections / vac lines that are easy to overlook - i'd double check everything.. Maybe a Vac line is off?

Sounds like it could be a timing issue- recheck all your wiring, coils, plug wires, etc. I'm not sure how much you took apart (I don't recall taking any of that apart when I did my intake) but that could be it- a misfire making the racket.

If you know someone that knows vehicles, have them take a look, we all miss things, and a new set of unbiased eyes can spot a problem.

Engine swap or rebuild? It sounded fine when cranking the engine with the fuel pump disconnected.......until the engine seized this morning. It seems like it would be cheaper to do a swap than have a repair done. I've got 186k on this engine.

Damn...Swap is cheaper. sorry to hear about the problems. However...I'm curious what caused it.

Swap it and tear down the old one to see what caused it!
