I got mine in monday, hoping to have the tahoe back by wednesday or thursday so I can install it. I haven't driven it in over 2 months. lol

Not to beat the obviously dead horse, but if oil consumption is one the the problems you're having would you be any better off considering the valve cover replacement? Or is this in addition to that "fix"?

I have been with the understanding that this is very common among gm vehicles even at brand new or very low miles.

My understanding as well. Lower tension rings, blow by when in V4, etc. Basically GM trying to pull out all the stops to squeeze more mileage from a 10 year old engine design (in my case). The consumption goes away, as I understand, when you tune out the AFM.

Put on my airaid intake tube and took a picture of the crap in my intake of my 09 Yukon Denali 6.2. Tips for cleaning? Already installed a catch can, my first mod! There is some smoke in there so hard to see it all with my crappy cell pic, but oil on the bottom with some tan **** bomb on top.
