Sounds like a vacuum leak

No. It's sounds like a hissing noise.
Vacuum and hiss sound nothing alike, they don't even have the same vowels or consonants.

Sorry, I've been drinking.

hi guys,

question to you - I see the benefit of the catch can, one more filter - great.
is there any real point in adding one on a vehicle that already has 170000kms on it?

It wouldn't hurt it. And on the plus side it less oil going in the wrong area.

That's a lot! I had about 1/2 that with the same miles.
I bought it last jan with 89k. 07 Yukon 5.3. After reading, I disabled the afm, then did the catch can.. I dnt have any records on the maintenance, but the transmission fluid was burnt when i had the dealership change it, so it prob had never been changed.

No, I meant, I have 1/2 that amount come out of my catch can. I put around 5000 miles on it also before draining it.

Yeah, I know. I dnt know how it was treated for the 1st 89k. So I'm not sure if lack of maintenance causes more oil in the intake
