26s and be done with it.
I love how yours sits. I also want to go 2/3 as I noticed the door handles are staggered.i used the mcgaughy's 2/3 spindles and coils and i still have stock brakes. i have no complaints at all.
as soon as I put my 24s on i ws upset at stopping. from the 22s to the 26s i can just imagine the weight. prob 40 more pounds of rotating mass per wheel.
One thing that gets me is how funny the stock brakes look behind 24/26 or 28s. GM should put bigger rotors than stock on them from factory.
going from 24s to 26s, i did not notice one difference at all. Same ride quality, same stopping distance, balanced well, etc.
Going from 20s to 24s, i did notice a slight difference in ride quality (especially over nasty roads) and a bit reduced stopping power.the reduction is stopping power definitely does not call for $2000 brakes. One just needs to get used to it and drive accordingly.
That being said, i have never had an incident in which i needed to stop quickly (with 24s or 26s) and i was not easily able to do so.
The brakes gm put on these are fine outside the fact the rotors wear so quick.
People need to realize it is an suv. It is not going to brake like a car, and it definitely won't be as fast as most cars. If i wanted to zip around town and be able to stop on a dime i would go and get a cts-v.
