Getting the Ride Back

so you know a tahoe is only 118 pounds heavier in rear than a tbss. Ive weighed it before

a suburban is 228 pounds heaver than the back of a tbss. not much different.


i havent tried the ground force tahoe spring but its only a 3 inch drop but you can cut because there are tons of dead coils. I only tried the trailblazer ground force coils.

thats the gf tb spring vs belltech tb spring. Look at how many dead coils are in the truck when its on the floor.

what sucks on the gf set up to get the 3 inch springs you have to buy the entire kit

I'm not a user so I can't see the attachments, hold up and I'll create a user quick. Progressive rate is definitely the best riding coil I've ran in this thing so I may have to check these out as well.

ride was nice on the gf coil because it was progressive. here it is on the truck you can see lots of dead coils which can be trimmed I did 3 loops no loss at all in ride. no spring noise nothing like that.


maybe you can get the tahoe gf coils by themselves because that would be easy.

I got my complete front/rear spring kti for 217 bucks shipped. i sold the front springs to a tb guy and then the rear springs were less than 75 bucks. Honestly if you have the money just do the same and get these rear springs you will like em. then go on trailvoy and sell the front springs for 160 shipped.

Those look like my old belltech 5305s, I'll see how these belltechs ride with the bags and go from there. Thanks for all the info homie

what exactly are dead coils?
I have the 5305's in my tahoe with the helper bags max originally posted up and I have quite a few "dead coils"
what would be the advantage of cutting them?
how many do I cut?
could I still use my helper bags?

if you want to make that truck run hard just hollar i know how to make them run without spending $$

and max the belltech tb springs ride better than the 5305s thats for sure.

also max have you c-notched yet?
I would think with that much drop even with helper bags you would be pretty damn close to the frame

She's close but the coils compress onto themselves before the frame hits, I've hit the frame a few times but it is only when the truck is weighed down and I hit something really off camber like a big ass pothole or don't slow down for something. I hope these new coils ride smooth I just wanna be able to tow some shit and not have to worry about a poor ride, thinking about hooking an airlift wireless air kit to it as well so I can adjust the height easily.

ive had the airlift wireless for over 2 years no issues at all. with the helper bags perfect when my fat ass buddys get in the back.

with 3 guys average of 220 lbs each and 5 sandbangs and had teh helper bags at 35 psi had no issues with ride with belltech tb coils.
