Because I was in the car business and I know most of the used and new car dealers in western pennsylvania. I will give you some advice.
First off - Kenny Ross Chevrolet has given a new car warranty of 100,000 miles to every vehicle he has sold for the last 8 years. The difference between what I paid Star Chevrolet - basically Delaney Chevrolet out of Indiana PA and what Star Chevrolet sold it to me for was about $365
If you read some of the posts concering problems - you will see that I use that vehicle as a example for most any problem that you could possibly have with a new / used Chevy Truck. I replaced everything but the driver.
The problem with buying new / used is that unless you know everyone out there and you know who to deal with and you know where to go and how much you should be willing to pay for one - there is no way for me to give you advice.
I know most all of the Chevrolet Dealers within a 90 mile radius of Punxsutawney PA. If you have a question - just ask.
If you were willing to drive, tell me how far you are willing to drive and what you have to spend and I can hook you up with a deal. If you are on the eastern side of Pennsylvania and are not willing to drive, about the only dealer I know that could help you would be the one that owns the Central PA Auto Auction - Lock Haven. They own a Chevrolet Dealership and they buy used vehicles right out of there auction, anything you want to buy they can get it for you. M&T bank ran a hundred trucks a week through the auction when I went there two years ago on a weekly basis. You can drive there and look at the vehicles that are going to go through the auction and if you know a used car dealer in your area that is a member of Adessa they can go there and buy it for you and get you a deal. It is not a public auction.
Or you can get a dealer to go to the auction in Harrisburg or the Mason Dixon auto auction and pick a vehicle up for you for thousands of dollars less then what you would pay out in the lot. Just that you would have to go with the dealer and you would have to be willing to miss a day or two of work.
