Okay, I finally found a 2005 Tahoe with miles at 50 thousand, navigation,dvd,leather...for $20,000. Based on Kelly Blue book sounds fair. I'm thinkin of having a mechanic check the vehicle out before buying, small investment to maybe find those fender benders that didn't make it to the carfax...Think it's worth the money to have it checked out? Also, any hints about what to look for in a good used car warranty and what to stay away from... buying used is new for me, I finally woke up to how much you loose just driving off the lot!

Not sure of the price, sounds high to me. I got my 05 tahoe, leather, nav, 3rd seat, fully loaded, just not a z71, with 51k miles, for alot less. Not saying how much.
But $20k sounds high to me. More like $12k to $15 sounds alright.

My 05 Denali with 55,000 was priced under $20,000. I'd look around or get them to deal.

I agree with everyone, 20K sounds too high.

i bought my 05 yukon for 17k with 23,000 miles a year and a half ago.

I bought my 2005 Tahoe last year - 48k miles, sunroof, leather, 3rd row, AWD, power pedals, brand new tires - $15k out the door, and even then I felt it was a little high. I agree with most posts here that you can get a better deal.

It looks like the only thing mine didn't have compared to what you're looking at is DVD and Nav, but you can add those on for way less than $5k. Just sayin....

I think the overall consensus here is 20k is too high and I agree. We're talking about a vehicle over 5 years old. 15k max.
