Forgive my ignorance here. What is the advantage of this?

More CA/CCA or cheaper battery or just to prove that it can be done?
There's no advantage exactly. When I posted this I had the opportunity to buy 2 group 65 batteries second hand at a hell of a discount. I needed a battery and the opportunity presented itself.

So it was technically cheaper, at least this time around... and you proved that it can be done... and you shared it with us so that we also know its possible.... sounds like a Win, win, win to me.

Yeah I think for two batteries, a Autocraft Gold, and this interstate, both tested and verified as good, I think I'm in less than a hundred bux. I wanted to do the dual batteries and this was the cheapest way that I found while stumbling upon them on craigslist.

I've not put the second in yet. That will be some future weekend project, but I am just wiring + > + and - > - so keeping the same 12V, but increasing amperage capacity. I wont put an isolator on it or anything as i dont have any bumpity bumps in the truck.
