i've been debating whether or not to get some black ones for my tahoe also.. i've got a pair of the ccfl halos on my dakota and they're bright as hell. you can see em here.. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/645201/1998-dodge-dakota-regular-cab-chassis-pasadena-tx-us?p=4

i know the led ones aren't as bright and tend to get dimmer further away from the led but they still look good at night. you don't need to drive with them on during the day...if you don't want to. i might still get a pair just don't know how the black would look on my tahoe.

LED bumpers

I know you were thinking of getting the headlight/bumper light combo, but you may want to consider the LED bumpers. Other members have some LED bumpers, but mine is the all white. They also have all white smoked, and LED bumper smoked. Just search ebay

I have DEPO projector headlight housing, but I haven't installed them yet. Waiting to retrofit them with Morimoto projectors that I got, and will put HIDs in them. But here are some pics of the LED bumpers.

Now those ccfl's look really cool. ALOT brighter than my halos. thought about getting the ccfl's and putting them in it instead.

Halos

The problem I had with Halos, is yes, there not too bright, and when you turn the headlights on forget it you cannot see them, only used them for a short while, then almost forgot I had them, had a toggle switch installed on dash near the stock OnStar panel to be able to turn them on/off. Mostly the projector type lens was what disappointed me, no matter what bulb I put in them, there weren't even as bright as the stock headlights, so I ended up selling them, and getting the http://www.xesighting.com/gmt_800.html. Now I'll just end up using that switch for something else.

Tahoewhat:*
There are 2 white and black wires that I think go to 2 small lights and there are 2 red and black wires.
Where am I supposed to connect those to? Is it to the park lights? If so what part or where do I hook the wires to that. Like which light is the park light and where do I hook those wires to it? Also where do I plug the black and white wires? Thanks!
