Are you guys kidding me?

A firearm is not a car accessory, like a phone charger or an air freshener. It's a lethal weapon. Responsible firearms owners do not want guns just laying around---they want and need them to be on their person and completely secured.

Wife told me two months ago that she noticed a holstered pistol in the door pocket of the car ahead of her at the car wash. FAIL.

If you carry, maintain full and complete control.

these are options for easy carry in the trucks. if I were to have it in my iwb holster and needed to get to it fast I couldn't while sitting in the seat. now with it easily accessible in one of the provided suggestions it could be a life saver. I do fully understand what your saying and there's a lot of people out there that do mishandle them sadly.

And thats why I wouldn't suggest the doors since they can be swung open and leave you to far from it and possibly have the criminal in between you and your firearm.

I can't speak for anyone else but when I get out it goes with me, I've always got control of it. while at work it's locked up.

I just picked up an '09 Tahoe last week. For those that drive with their pistols accesible and concealed, where in the cabin do you keep your pistol? I live in TX and keeping a pistol in a vehicle is legal. I find the center console way to deep and the glovebox is too far from the driver's reach.

Thanks and Happy New Year.
Depending on what you carry (single stack or double stack mags) if thin enough it would fit in betweenew the seat and center counsel. I carry a S&W M&P sub compact single stack and it fits good in between the seat and counsel and in a holster. But check out these magnet pistol holders.

I have an Alien Gear holster bolted to the side of the console in my Lexus and about to do the same in my Tahoe. Although not concealed, it's quickly and easily accessible, which is better than adding those few extra seconds opening the glovebox or center console in case you need it. And since its holstered, it's not loose and prone to go flying around anywhere in case of an accident or quick braking/turning maneuver. I have a lockbox bolted inside the glovebox of my Lexus for times when I have to leave my EDC in the car, such as visiting my kids school or anywhere displaying 30.06 and 51% signage.
