Headlights

Looking to due HIDS for my 02 tahoe, just wondering if i can use the stock headlights that are on the truck?? and wut is involved getting the old bulbs out, it looks tight in there

old bulbs out is easy. There's a couple pins you pull up.

Can you use the stock headlights, it's a bad subject to bring up. Any bulb that came in your stock housing is illegal, weather it's just a plug n play HID kit or even a retrofit. However, people who do a retrofit will ALWAYS have better light output and usually don't get hassled.

i see so HIDs in stock housings dont mix very well, better off with a slyvania bulb

Technically, there is a lot wrong with having them in your stock housing. You might like to read that link I posted as well. It's stickied at the top of the exterior page.

Whether we do illegal stuff is all subjective, and I'm not hating on people who do it, just stating that there are better ways.

I have them on my 03 and no problems as well. But my ballast say dot approved
