Hellwig Sway 7707 problems

Has anyone tried installing the hellwig rear sway 7707 on their yukon/tahoe? I have not been able to do it, and I wasnt sure if its me or the bar, i struggled with it for two hours, then compared it to the stock sway bar and bracket, this is what I found:

When I centered one hole of the bracket, the other hole is misaligned.

Then when i compared the original bar to the hellwig, I lined up one side and put the brackets on to match:



The other side bracket was where the bar started a curve



So, I could not get it to work, now my question is, has anyone gotten it to work? Is there a trick? What am I missing? I will call hellwig tomorrow, but hoping someone has a suggestion tonight.

You might have to drill new holes about an inch over for the mounting bracket. Thats what I had to do with my Belltech rear swaybar. I was looking at it for an hour before I called Tony and he explained to me the new holes I would need to drill. Good luck

Seriously?!? Sway bars FOR the truck don't FIT the truck?!? That's insane!!

I've NEVER had that issue, and I've fitted aftermarket sway bars to some fairly low-production/rare cars, our 1979 Cadillac Seville being one of the latest.

No one makes an aftermarket bar that's actually a bolt-in job??

The good news is Kevin at hellwig tech support was very helpful and he is sending out some new brackets that will hopefully work (fingers crossed). I will update as it goes

That is why it is always wise to compare parts before starting.

Yeah, comparing before starting, where's the fun in that? Think of all the firewood you miss out on if you measure twice before cutting?

Thanks to Kevin at Hellwig, who sent out newer brackets that fit, the bushings still twist out a bit, but I can live with that. The endlinks that come with the kit are pretty awesome as well.

The real question is, does it make a difference?
I would say in normal every day driving, I dont notice it...which is why I took the long way home from work, up and down some super curvy hills and purposely didnt brake. It does stiffen up the yukon around the curves over 40mph (I normally dont go over 35mpg on these curves because it felt dangerous) and I dont feel like the yukon is going to tip over...so it does make a difference, on steep curves, going fast, I would say, well worth the money and trouble
