Only thing I can think of is it will be easier to mount if you only need to find 1 point for mounting compared to enough flat surface to mount at all 3 points. Another advantage I see is if for some odd reason something was to catch the ballasts like when removing headlights,wires,etc (this happened to me before on my other car) it would only bend the bracket or pull your 1 mounting screw out instead of possibly breaking 1 or more of those mounting points on the ballasts. Just my personal opinion
