HELP steering rack bushing replacement

You should not need to remove the cross member to drop the front differential.

I was going to just unbolt it and let gravity do it's thing...

Yeah - It's not difficult to remove at all. Compared to the differential, almost inconsequential.

I dropped the rack to put in the bracket in my awd. I also snapped the bolt to the bracket with the impact putting it back. Just a warning

Apparently this bushing is only compatible with steering rack part number 19330568. Not sure that i notice that when i ordered it. According to Amazon, i don't have that rack since it isn't compatible

That part number rack is for the pickup trucks. Visually they appear to be same housing but maybe it is bigger or smaller around just by a little bit.

We’ll find out. I got a 2008 Sierra Denali here and a gear from my Escalade sitting here also.
