ok so i am about 3 levels past pissed.. i am break shit and pitch a fit F^ckn furious.. went to the shop and saw my truck today it looks good not factory but it is acceptable, paid the deductable. drive out and take a left go 2 miles and a right hear a noise then i investigate..

those Freaking lazy bastards left a busted damaged part on the truck..

so they left the F ed up backer plat on.. it is all bent up.. looks like someone tried to bend it back normal.. so it is rubbing on the new rotor.. and a large portion of it is messed up.. after about 3 miles to the house there is a grove warn into the rotor..

i am pissed at this point.. i clean out the truck of all the crap from the trip that i was on 5 weeks ago when this all happened.. at this point the shop is closed.. i call insurance and complain.. then i drove the truck back to the shop and parked in right in front of there gate.. with a not in the window..

(i am not happy. brakes were not fixed. call me when you arrive and come get the key from me at my office.. sincerely Unsatisfied customer)

notice how it is bent like a mother and touching at the top.. it is supposed be new and have like a 1/4" gap equal around the radius.

on a positive note. i love the long locking lug nuts that my business partner said were needed $85 along with rim and tire.. so all 6 lugs on each wheel need a special socket.. so i will have to swap out the remaining 18 nutz

good grief son, so what was the grand total for all of this now...

Insurance quote was $3,200 at this point.. but there will be added charges for the work they neglected to do.. they have to re drain the diff and pull the axel to replace the backing plate.. so about 2-3 hours start to finish on a lift..

Oh man that sucks. I would check everything out when you get it back cause they obviously cut a corner with the backing plate.

Man, that sucks, what a waste of your time. Go figured they tried to pull the OkieDoke, if the insurance company paid them to replace the backing plate, the body shop pocketed some money. I am almost positive, you have to remove the clip from the differential and pull the axle out of the housing to get that plate on and off.

are the words "insurance fraud" too harsh?
If they got paid X amount of hours and for a backing plate, then what else would it be.
I know you are pissed, but don't throw all the dealers in with those tools. I have 3 different friends that work at 2 different dealers, and they are good honest techs.
I hope they get your truck done soon, whoever pulled that move should have to help or if it was the guy in the shop, he should do it off the clock.

Nice!!! I'm glad that the message was delivered. :Boo: I had bad visions of them towing your ride at YOUR expense and then really screwin you over! I hope they get this fixed today and let you get on with your life. I'm sure you'll never go back there again :party33:

YEA not all dealers are bad. Dad is good friends with multiple dealership owners. just not in the town i live.. lol... and good buddy that owns a honda dealership and a nascar team hooked me up this week with one of the last runs of Honda elements for the wife..

that aside. they cut corners and thats not the correct way to do business. i dont care if it was the mechanic being lazy or the shop trying to pocket few hundred it happened and should not have...

and if they dont fix it correct i will park infront of there gate again and again untill they do the job correctly.. i have waited almost 5 weeks patiently and now i am no longer patient or tolerating this crap... in the amount of time they had the tahoe they could have restored it to better than new. uncalled for these delays...

Just got an apologetic call from the South East regional head claims manager.. and said everything will be covered.. and is sorry about the issues and the delays and will be addressing the long wait times with the (certified claims shop). so hopefully me calling and complaining and asking for high people might change the way business if handeled for the future customers at this shop..

I have AAA and this process is quite a bit smoother (at least in my experiences). I've had NO problem with them at all

Reminds me of my tow truckin' days. AAA definitely pays for itself if you need to get towed a good distance. Look into the AAA Plus (100 miles of towing) & Premier (200 miles of towing). :)

I've had AAA plus for years and it's paid for itself several times over the years. I would not go with out it now.
