s you think the factory would look better or the OE 3/4" bushwacker ones..

bc i am kinda leaning to the factory and call it a day, clean and simple.

That sucks bro. Glad to hear your ok. 115 ft lbs seems low. Factory torque is 140 lbs. Thats what i got mine torqued to. That could have been the culprit. Under torqued lug nuts.idk. Any time I get work done on my Yuk, i specifically tell them to torque to factory specs, with a wrench. No impact gun near the wheels. I bring the big torque wrench when i pick it up and check. They look at me like im crazy, but im payin so they better do it. When i rotate the wheels on my wifes CTS, factory says 90-100 ft lbs. Her car weighs about half what one of our rigs weigh.

the trailer might have actually helped keep the back end straighter instead of it trying to swap ends on you...you have quite a tall and short wheelbase truck that would tend to get out of control when it loses a leg like that...the trailer might have actually benefitted you if it was heavy enough to "pull" on your back end a little to keep it from swapping ends with your front end.

get the body fixed and call it quits. it looks clean as is. insurance is paying for it so just let them deal with it.

did you look AHEAD of where you were stopped? tire/wheels that come off for whatever reason ALWAYS go off towards the front and they can go quite a distance...i had a landcruiser take an exit one day and i was on the service road and the RF wheel came off and took off...coworker was behind me and we "pursued" that tire forever...he finally rammed it with the side of his car because it was going through a neighborhood and headed to the end of the street where theres a park. but i bet we chased that dam thing for 6 blocks before it finally was knocked over. we kept hoping it would just fall over or hit the curb and stop. oh well. looked kinda dumb two cops pursuing a runaway tire haha ah...fun at work.

lol yea i was puckered up..

first thing the wife askes is will our spare fit the flat tire,,, i replied the F'n tires wheel is gone and no lugs.. she still didnt understand till she saw... i had a buddy look for the wheel yesterday no luck,, its 128 miles from my house.. i already have called my bfg factory rep to get me a new tire on order as it is a special order and we cant even keep more than 2 on or shelf at any time.. they restrict us..(a retailer) adn i have the rim in our mid west warehouse so. that will all be cost to me... :ehcapt: but ins will pay my company full price.. silent partner in a large custom wheel and tire online company now is a great perk.. looking to upgrade the brakes also. maybe bump up to the police addition package or a 14" willwood.. not sure yet. the adjuster is due to show up this morning..

i am simply glad we didnt roll or die or cause harm to anyone else.. we are very thanks ful..

picked up the f250 from the stables last night. looks like i am diesel for a few weeks and will smell like hey and feed... could be worse.. i could have a rental PT Looser... :biggun:

Wait...where can you find the fenders for 100? I need to replace both on my Suburban...and they're pricey as hell where I've been looking.

guy pmed me a while back.. about the flairs.. but i thought this afternoon and im thinking that i may see how smooth the paint and wheel well lip turns out and then decide i like how clean the truck looks not debadged and simple..

i try and think of myself as a good defensive driver..

Copper - you are so correct that truck can be replaced i was most worried about the wife.. she is everything to me..

the hoe on way to the shop..
